State of Art ( Gobz ) produced Dance/techno/House/D & B type tunes in the early 90`s. Later he went on to release CD`s under the guise of the more experimental / Goth & Industrial metal influenced Whores of Babylon & Soundisciples, who both have pages on this site in the goth metal sections.

Originally State of Art did about 20 tunes between 1989 & 1992, but a few remixes for other people have been done since then.

News Update : State of Art UK ( Gobz) was later called `Noiselab` and then `W.O.B - The Noiselab Project` , also to be found on this site at www.download.com/noiselabakawhoresofbabylon .  A new album is planned for 2008 after Gobz finishes his duties on the upcoming `Whores of Babylon` & `Soundisciples` albums. 

State of Art ( Gobz ) built a recording studio ( also called State of Art, or SOA Studios ) in Bristol, UK in 1992. These days it is also owned by Geoff Barrow from the band PORTISHEAD.

Among the bands that have recorded at the studio are of course WHores of Babylon, Noiselab, Soundisciples and also others such as : Smith & Mighty, Steph McKey, Portishead & bands that are signed to Portishead`s INVADA ( UK ) record label, Gonga are a band on this site on Invada that have been there.
