Editor's review

Country balladeer Brooke describes his singing topics as "Florida, life, and love, as well as chocolate and vultures"--well, Stetson-wearing songsters have always been an eccentric bunch. But they can pull it off if they can carry a tune, and once you hear Brooke's tender vibrato, you, too, will find it hard to believe he was once a punk rocker.

Biography

Stephen Brooke is a performer and song writer.

From his days as a punk rocker fronting the band Berzircon to his current acoustic-based solo work, there is a mix of poetic beauty and edgy intellect. Throw in a dollop of goofy humor, a bit of country, some folk, and his sometime band, The Inept Ensemble, and you have Steve.

Currently working on his third solo album, Deadman Bay, Stephen Brooke sings of Florida, life, and love, as well as chocolate and vultures.
