Former recording artists get plowed on booze and wax scatological over extremely basic musical sounds. Favorite improvisational topics include farting, smelling the aforementioned fart, wetting the bed, spelling the alphabet, and not only being blind drunk, but talking about it.
The Sunbabies started in late summer 1999 as a crappy band who never really expected or thought we'd amount to anything. To be honest, we weren't even a band when we started out, Sunbabies Inc was just a name I came up with and decided it NEEDED to be used. After some REALLY crappy music put out in the fall and winter of 1999, Sunbabies went on a hiatus, reforming in the summer of 2000, and deciding we were not going to give a crap about music. And so, we went for comedy.
On a whim, we recorded a song entitled "Britney Spears Sucks... So Can We." The song was recorded in 25 minutes, with no previous writing, prep, or orginization. Within 1 week, the song was #2 on MP3.com's comedy section and within 2 months, it had made us a rediculous amount of money. We followed this up with a line a crappy improv "Britney" songs, all successful in thier own right.
The year 2001 brought Spring releases, including a final Britney song. At a party, I recorded a song which was later titled "Drunk Alphabet Outtake." I don't remember the song, as I was blacking out, but it has grown into a very popular internet "cult" hit. Amazing what too much booze can do.
2002-2004 brought nothing for Sunbabies Inc, and the band has all but parted ways. (Tim is the only remaining member.) In 2005, the Sunbabies had a major resurgence of internet cult following once again. Being featured artists on both Garageband.com and download.com for material that always seems to finds it's weird niche, Sunbabies songs from 5,6, even 7 years ago refuse to be forgotten. At the moment, no plans have been made for new material. Songs like the ones we have created are never planned.
