These British hip-hoppers make atmospheric beats laced with hard rhymes and sultry female vocals. While the tracks are generally cinematic and abstract, choppy rhythms and MC Lyn e Lyn's rough rhymes give the group a gritty underground edge.
Biography
Hip-hop beats and a rapper who’s battled with the best? You’d be forgiven for thinking Super:8 would be just another UK hip-hop act. You’d be wrong. Add into this mix evocative female vocals, the majestic posturing of guitars and keyboards; and production straight from the Super:8 studio.
With their hybrid brand of ecstatic implosions and mournful regret, Super:8 rock, and then some.
The group is made up of: Jo - singer; Lyn e Lyn - rapper; Ad - bass, lead guitar, keyboards; Jamie - beats, keyboards and production. They’ve been together for around 2 years. All their music is created, recorded, mixed and mastered in a bedroom studio where they live in Finsbury park, north London.
Lyn e Lyn was previously signed to Virgin Records in the 90’s with the group Sindecut who toured Europe with the likes of Soul II Soul.

well,urttheir music is original due to differingounds their nfluences are extremely varied. From Portishead to Nas, dj hypeto The Streets. They have just finished their first video for the song Anthem. This was completely funded / produced by themselves and will be ready by the end of June 2004.
