Editor's review

Eigsti gained renown as a pianist while still in his teens, which may explain how, at just 23, he's cut a remarkably adult record. "Let It Come To You" is modern piano jazz at its most lush and urbane--a must for anyone who has worn out her collection of Brad Mehldau.

Biography

Let It Come To You is Taylor's follow up to his 2006 Concord debut Lucky To Be Me which spent 23 weeks on the national jazz radio airplay charts, peaking at No. 7, and earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best Instrumental Composition and for Best Instrumental Jazz Solo Performance. The new album features 11 songs, including Taylor's take on Pat Metheny's Timeline, which is dedicated to the late Michael Brecker and on which Joshua Redman guests.
