These Argentine art-rockers join coolly-lethal basslines from the Steve Albini school with Pinback's brand of palatable post-rock. Add in guitars with a grunge undertow and an entirely welcome Cobain complex, and you've got a spiffed-up take on old Seattle.
Tereso: Juan Rozas plays guitar and sings. Chelo Crocetti plays guitar and sings. Alejo Rozas plays bass. Ricardo Mazzi plays drums. Coming from rock haven Argentina and by blending their influences with Anglo- styles, Tereso began their journey of musical exploration with the intent of fusing art and originality. With influences ranging from the Ramones, Bob Dylan, Sumo, Dead Milkmen to the Beatles, Stones, and Nirvana the group formed a unique sound that captivated many an audience with hypnotic rhythms and haunting melodies. All members are artists in their own right, being metal sculptors, graphic designers, painters, and video editors. The art that unites them is music and respect for one another keeps them together. Tereso is not just a four-piece band, but also a community of fans, friends and family. Tereso has shared the stage with many prominent international artists as well as respected local acts. Their first release "How Invisible We Are" spawned a video that was on regular rotation on MTV Latino. For the past year, the band has been touring to promote their latest album ?Youth Divine Treasure?. Some notable stops were the Rock El Park Festival (New York City), The Cutting Edge Music Festival (New Orleans), The Knitting Factory (Los Angeles with Volumen Cero), and the Emergenza Festival. The band has been busy putting the final touches on their music videos for ?Youth Divine Treasure? and will be hitting the road again. By singing in English and Spanish, Tereso can communicate to a wider audience, even though their music is universal. Their intense live performances captivate believers and non-believers.
