The Allen Christie Band

 Musician, singer, songwriter Allen Christie has hit the stage with a unique sound and energy that demands attention. His up tempo renditions of traditional country music couples with some progressive bluegrass has captured audiences across North America. The Allen Christie Band has a repertoire that will take you on a journey through western swing, honky-tonk, traditional cowboy, yodeling and bluegrass. You'll hear rich vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo, autoharp and fiddle. They have taken their stage shows to concerts, rodeos, fairs, exhibitions, sporting events, jamborees and conventions throughout Canada and the United States. All their music is recorded and played live acoustically. Allen can play all by himself or use up to 8 musicians at a show. Allen Christies hard hitting acoustic sound is what country music fans have been waiting for. Allen Christie leads his band as a vocalist playing guitar, banjo, mandolin and even at times a fiddle. Riley Tubbs fills in on bass guitar, mandolin, guitar and vocals. With such a wide variety of musical instruments the members are always changing from show to show to show case the best of what the Allen Christie band has to offer. Allen Christie’s talent as a songwriter has not gone with out recognition. Two of Allen’s songs have made it to the big screen as part of the movie soundtrack “Jet Boy”, along with 2 of his songs appearing in documentaries. Allen himself has played with Ian Tyson, Dick Damron, Poverty Plainsmen, Steve Fox, Dian Chase and Julian Austin.
