Editor's review

The lush, languid folk of the Oldham brothers has flowered into the Anonmoanon. Paul, Ned, and Will Oldham have created a sound that is at once personal and anthemic, warbling yet lucid. In the ever-shifting saga of Oldham family configurations--from Bonnie Prince Billy to the Palace Brothers--the Anonmoanon is one of their most striking to date.

Biography

For the past 10 years the Oldham family has carved a firm and familiar place in contemporary folk music. The instantly recognizable warble and touching harmonies of brothers Ned and Will have been imitated ad nauseum more times than any of us can recall. With an ever-increasing influence that's as far reaching as any other today, the Palace walls are as strong and vibrant as ever. The Anomoanon is a sentimental walk through the woods that lets you in on the family secrets, but also lets you in on the family fun.
