Like their Swedish brethren Kent, the Bends use the rock format to craft dense layers of fuzzy distortion, icy arpeggios, and dreamy Britpop vocals. This music could easily steal your girlfriend and create a sea of flickering lighters, thanks to its polished arena-worthy and altogether seductive sound.
Biography
TheBends are five member pop/rockgroup from Uddevalla Sweden. The bandmembers got a quite diversed musical background which generates a different and unique sound. Their music is not mainstream, but it's easy to listen to. It's very difficult to label The Bends, because it's not Pop or Rock or Indie or Britpop or Radiohead, it's just... TheBends!
The members are:

Guitar: Robert Johansson
Guitar: Stefan Olsson
Drums: Peter Scherman
TheBends have played in this constellation since the beginning of 2004.
At this moment TheBends are rehearsing frequently. Working with some new (and old) material. Their debute album "Better one" is almost finished. The album will probably be released during 2007.
TheBends have found their "own sound" on this album. With very good lyrics and songs, great play from the band and on top of that, Anders's voice. Powerful, but at the sametime soft and fragile.
