Biography

Steve G. Mitchell and Dr. David Siu, M.D. collaborated for several years on MIDI creations, along with other MIDI artists as well. The CMR Players is simply an outlet for those MIDI files that have now been rendered as high-quality MP3 audio files. These performances are created through the laborious process of hand-editing each track so that the result sounds as heartfelt and emotionally gratifying as possible with the current state-of-the-art in equipment and technology. Included in that technology is GigaStudio 3.0, along with several "ultimate-class" sample packages such as Garritan Strings, Ultimate Strings, Bigga Gigga Brass, and Quantum Leap Brass. Also, in a class by itself, I've just started the learning curve to use Garritan Personal Orchestra - it has incredible samples. Our goal here is not to attempt to replace musicians in any way, but only to be able to provide what could best be called a reasonable facsmile of particular orchestral works you may or may not be familiar with.
