Seems like many compilation masters in the U.K. are getting their Fix of late: The duo recently appeared on Ministry Sessions and also on Nic Fancuilli and James Zabiella's One+One effort. They sound like most of their aforementioned contemporaries--but with a bit more of a sense of risk-taking. Something about putting Englishmen together with production gear just seems to work--over and over again.
The Fix is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the hottest production duos around. Having set up Yeah:No Recordings to debut their own material, The Fix' first release "Being Stoopid" caused more damage than a bull in a china shop. This catchy tech builder was a favourite at Circo Loco's party at Ibiza's DC1O nightclub; it also got licensed to Groove Armada's Andy Cato's Ministry Sessions compilation and to James Zabiela & Nic Fanciulli's One + One compilation.
The duo's second release, "Medication Time / Anesthetic" EP, was featured on Azuli's respected Miami 2007 compilation and Roger Sanchez' After Dark 3 compilation. Pete Tong was quick to sing the praises of The Fix' infectious sound on his Radio1 Essential Selections show; the tracks became best sellers and Yeah:No Recordings was featured as Label of the Week on Beatport.
Their 3rd EP, "Roll the Dice / Damp Patch" has been decimating dance floors everywhere and received respect across the board, championed by Minus man of the moment Ambivalent, charted by Canada's Deadmua5 and licensed to Space Ibiza 2007 compilation.
Hotly tipped, check out the group's latest EP "Foggy / Misty", 2 more no-nonsense tripped out groovers that are set to detonate a dancefloor near you.
