Editor's review

The melodic, post-punk racket coming from Oakland, Calif., band the Geisha Boys isn't as light-hearted or cheeky as their name might suggest. Instead it's steadfast and confident with energized vocals that are strained and slightly weathered. They're not fooling anyone. The Geisha Boys are serious.

Biography

The Geisha Boys are a trio of Leos from the east bay city of Oakland. When these fellas get together they like to make a racket. While the Geisha Boys are a “new” band in terms of name, the members have played in such local bands as Salem Lights, Bitchcraft, The Grady Sisters, SnowPark and Hobart. The Geisha Boys have just finished recording a 5-song EP. Some of those songs are available here for your listening enjoyment.
