This eccentric outfit draws inspiration from both the brainiest and the brawniest fringes of '80s punk rock and new wave. That means artfully linking up Devo, the Pixies, and the Misfits: no small task, but a rewarding one, done properly here with growling guitars, snappy rhythms, and vocals that might not be kidding.
Biography
The Japanese are a hard band to classify. Fans of modern Punk may call them 'Old School,' but if they sound at all like any conventional Punk Rock it's only the strangest and most original songs of your ablums from the 80s. Drawing from Anarcho-Punk, Post-Punk, New Wave, Hardcore, Garage, and Indie Rock, the Japanese produce unique, yet somehow familiar tracks time and time again. Yes, and they love to toot their own horns.
