LOW TECH,IS THE KEY TO THE BEAUTY OF THIS GROUP OF ARTISTS,!! PURE CLEAN COUNTRY BLUEGRASS.. AS A 74 YR OLD RETIRED MILITARY,AND A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN,WHO HAD HIS OWN BAND "THE COUNTRY ACES" (T.M.REG.) AND A PICKER, SINGER, HAVEING WORKED WITH OUR GROUP IN THE MIDDLE 1940'S ON OUR PROGRAM, "THE MOUNTAIN JEWEL GOSPEL HOUR" RECORDED IN LOW GAP ARKANSAS,IN AN OLD WPA BUILDING,USED AS COMMUNITY GATHERING PLACE,AND FOR CHURCH ON SUNDAYS,AND WEDNESDAYS,SATURDAYS,DANCE'N "SHINDIGS" AND PLAYED BACK ON KHOZ RADIO IN HARRISON ARK.OUR RECORDINGS WERE LIVE, AND PLAYED A WEEK LATER.HENCE WE ALWAYS STAYED A WEEK AHEAD WITH OUR PROGRAM.EX: THIS WEEK RECORDINGS, WERE PLAYED NEXT WEEK ON THE KHOZ AM RADIO "THE MOUNTAIN JEWEL GOSPEL HOUR". ALL THE MUSIC WAS STRICTLY ACCUSTIC !! THE ONLY ELECTRIC USED, WAS A BATTERY OPERATED MIKE... AND HOPE THE 6 VOLTS WERE CHARGED UP... BUT THE MUSIC OF THIS GROUP,BRINGS BACK FOND MEMORIES OF THE PUREITY AND LOVE TO ARTISTS DOING WHAT THEY LOVE TO DO.. AND IF YOU LISTEN,YOU'LL HEAR THAT BE RECORDED ON THIS DISK. WISH I'D BEEN ABLE TO PLAY AND SING AND RECORD LIKE THAT AGAIN,, UNFORTUNATELY IN MY LATER YEARS,FATHER TIME HAS CAUGHT UP WITH ME.. AND FEW MILITARY DISABILITIES BUT, I CAN STILL RELIVE MY YOUTH THROUGH THIS GROUPS FINE TALENT, AND AT LEAST, YOU CAN HEAR EACH AND EVERY WORD IF THE SONGS,AND THE EVENLY BALANCED TONES OF ALL THE INSTRUMENTS.
