Brooklyn's Metric Mile updates the fey pop sounds of England's Sarah Records label for the 21st century. With a synth bleep here and a whispered vocal style, the band is out to quietly and politely rock your world. The Metric Mile is Marvin Gaye to the Postal Service's California Raisins.
These tracks come from "How to Beat the SAT," the debut 5 song CDR by the Metric Mile. It was released by the band in April 2004, in a limited edition of 100 copies. It remains in print as a part of the I Wish I Was Unpopular series of CDRs (www.iwishiwasunpopular.com), created by Alistair Fitchett of the UK web zine "Tangents."
