Experimental hip-hop production combo The Rondo Brothers caught a huge break in 2004 when they were featured on the Handsome Boy Modeling School's lead single "World's Gone Mad," along with Barrington Levy, Del, and Franz Ferdinand. Their debut album "No Time Left On Earth" was released shortly after and the Rondos have not looked back since, embarking on sold-out world tours and working on theme music for TV shows and commercials.
San Francisco's up-and-coming producer team The Rondo Brothers, comprised of musicians Jim Greer & Brandon Arnovick, just returned from a busy spring sold-out 5 week tour comprising both dates in London as well as the United States opening for and playing in Handsome Boy Modeling School.
In addition to heavy touring, The Rondos also scored a top-selling Christmas remix on iTunes (Patti Page’s Frosty The Snowman) and played on the new Handsome Boy Modeling School record White People (Atlantic). The record’s single “World’s Gone Mad” features Franz Ferdinand, Barrington Levy, and Rondos Jim Greer on keyboards and Brandon Arnovick on guitar.
They are also featured on a brand new Sprite web promotion where visitors can “remix” one of their songs. They also have finished songs for the FOX shows “Fuel” and “54321”.
Most importantly, during 2004, The Rondos composed and produced their debut album No Time Left On Earth (Coup De Grace), a head-trippy hip/hop trip hop record of Hawaiian-influenced songs, featuring singers Daryl Palumbo (Head Automatica), Kelly Atkins (20 Minute Loop), Latrice Barnett (Galactic), Rapper Poach Stevens, singer Bob Byers & ukulele legend Hiram Bell.
To add to their incredibly busy 2004, The Rondos, also toured the United States with Warner Brothers group Head Automatica (featuring Glassjaw singer Daryl Palumbo and producer Dan The Automator) & opening for such acts as Thursday, The Cure, Interpol, Rapture, B-52’s and more.
Currently the Rondos are in the studio working on their new record and producing new records for Vinyl and working on various licensing projects.
