DIY punk acts don't usually cop to liking stadium rock, but this UK act sure gets down with some lasertronic '80s-style axes. Whether or not the ode to Rush and Van Halen is done with a wink, it plays winningly against thudding drums and orthodox emo-punk yawping.
Two years, over fifty shows and several recording sessions, Wakefields These Silent Movies are a band dynamically developing their own Post Hardcore sound and having themselves seen and heard all over the UK and beyond. Mixing influences from both the mainstream, underground, wheather it be the past or the present
From the same city as several high profile punk rock bands such as Milloy, Pylon, Chopper and Dugong, These Silent Movies keep in line with the DIY ethic and have pride in their ability to sustain artistic integrity in their music and everything that is associated with it. The band completed last April, a week long north of England tour and with the addition of two new members (Rick & Steve) have recorded five demo tracks in their first year as these silent movies.
