The Shadow Cabinet was founded in 1999. Its members reside in San Francisco and San Jose, California. The band's influences include artists such as The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Echo & the Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus and The Chameleons. The idea behind the music of The Shadow Cabinet is to bring back the melody and emotion that these artists are known for.
In November of 2000, The Shadow Cabinet completed its debut CD, "Solitude", co-produced by the band and Bari-Bari of Mephisto Walz. Solitude contains a bonus track remix of "Go to War" by Orpheos from Mephisto Odyssey.
The Shadow Cabinet has played a countless amount of live shows with big name bands in California's Bay Area, Hollywood, and in March of 2002, The Shadow Cabinet played at GothCon in New Orleans.
