Using traditional Chinese instruments, The Shanghai Restoration Project make slick pop music that flirts with the line between soft electronica and the sunnier side of trip-hop. It's some sensitive, Earth-loving stuff--if Lilith Fair was still around, they'd be having a busy summer.

Biography

Drawing from an array of musical styles, producer Dave Liang builds upon his signature hip-hop / electronica blend by bringing in new influences ranging from country to rap to choral music, woven together by traditional Chinese instruments.
