Having learned their amp settings from the Foo Fighters, this Boston outfit offers unoffensive rock-pop distortion and super-catchy ditties. The group's debut, "Siren Sounds," plays something like Weezer gone responsible. Its charm is it doesn't realize its own wholesomeness.

The Spaceshots debut CD Siren Sounds is available for free by download. All the songs are available via single MP3s or a full-album download that includes artwork. Big guitars, big choruses, and big hooks frame smart lyrics that are sometimes politically charged, sometimes expressively personal.
