Editor's review

These Wichita Falls siblings succeed with that oldest of rockabilly formulas: cowboy guitars and sweet, lovesick voices. In the Spragues' case, it's those pipes that set them apart, though they stretch our belief by the same token: what gal wouldn't want a fellow who can serenade like that?

Biography

The "Savage Sprague Brothers" is their newest release! After their two critically acclaimed Hightone CD's, this West Texas duo launched a rock'n'roll invasion, appearing on 2 world tours, CBS television, featured on two NPR shows, etc. Favorable reviews in Playboy, Rolling Stone, Washington Post, etc, confirms the "Spraguemania" that has spread all the way to Japan! On this new release, (their 1st on Wichita Falls Records), the boys are back with 9 new originals, as well as 3 covers. All of these songs are performed in the style of Buddy Holly, Bobby Fuller, Everly Bros, and the Ventures, all with their own inimitable Sprague sound, of course. No Sprague Bros. collection is complete without these soon to be classic songs!
