The Mighty Tale of The Wind-Ups
The KGPT (The Keith Groover Power Trio) ver. 0.1 formed in October of 2003, practicing in the bonus room of Nathan Haun, with Isaac Calvage using Keith's bass amp, and Keith using Isaac's guitar amp while also using Nathan's guitar amp for vocals. Although the music may not have been great, and the gear might have been sad, the tiny seed of something mighty was planted. A few permutations of mightiness later, the mighty Cliff B. Styles ended up behind the drum set and the bass position was filled by the inimitable (and mighty) Luke Langner. They quickly renamed themselves The Wind-Ups (since no one could remember "The Keith Groover Power Trio", including, ironically enough, Keith's family members), and so they are today. Through triumph and defeat, victory and, um, defeat, the newly christened Wind-Ups have emerged greater and mightier than ever, with steel-like resolve in the face of its never-ending effort to be the world's greatest and mightiest band.
