THIRD KIND

Third Kind is a Baltimore Maryland based hip hop group composed of 5 members. All from various upbringings and lifestyles, united under the culture of hip hop. Robben Beatz and Dichter2Productions provide the sounds, while Fat Boi aka Moody, Depth Cef , and Dwell, provide lyrical beat downs!! Intense, intelligent, relentless, no embellishments, original, creative, and always underrated, Hip Hop. Third Kind, Culture refinement engineers RobbenBeatz and Fat Boi came together around the year 2000.. A year later Cef and Dwell team up with them and Third Kind was born. around 2002 they dropped their first EP ( First Encounter ). The EP did well locally and Third Kind started getting notice by the Baltimore hip hop scene. While the name Third Kind was still growing strong they dropped their second EP (Predatorial Editorials) followed by a ton of local and out of state shows Third Kind was gaining respect for being one of the top underground groups in Baltimore .They also gain recognition for having one of the best live performances in the city. Some of the shows they have performed in were pretty impressive such as Hfstival ( HFStival is the largest yearly music festival on the East Coast. 55,000 to 90,000 people attend the annual event ), the Vans Warped Tour (Vans Warped Tour is a touring music and extreme sports festival 10,000 to 30,000 people attend the annual event ) and the Dmc World DJ Championships ,They also shared the stage with a number of recognizable artist such as Little Brother, Kool G Rap, Necro, Non Phixion, Immortal Technique, Masta Ace, Q-unique, Freestyle ,Cappadonna , WordsWorth , Akir , Sev Statik, and Comp to name a few. And not only hip hop groups ! they also shared the stage with a number of recognizable rock artist.. such as billy idol , cold play , fu fighters , sum 41 and garbage just to name a few After spending time on the Vans Warped Tour with Non Phixion. Third Kind and Sabac Red started to build a friendship. As their friendship grew Third Kind asked Sabac if he would collaborate with them on their new album. Sabac accepted and gave them a 16 bar verse for their first single (everybody knows) off their full lenght l.p. Disaster Relief .. The single was released on vinyl by SweatBox Recordings on November 7, 2005 and rose to number 2 on the national college radio charts.To follow that Third Kind (SweatBox Recordings ) released their second single on vinyl titled ( who's to say ) off their full lenght l.p. Disaster Relief In November of 2006 . The second single rose to number 3 on the national college radio charts. Third Kind soon developed a strong following in the United States through collage radio and word of mouth and a very strong international following through internet promotions and word of mouth Third Kind has also worked with wu tang producer 4th disciple and prodigal sunn of sunz of man.. The collaboration song with prodigal sunn was produced by robbenbeatz and is featured on their lp Disaster Relief. Wu Tang producer 4th disciple produced 2 tracks for third kind both of them will only be available on a vinyl single titled Third Kind meets Wu Tang. The Third Kind meets Wu Tang vinyl is scheduled for released in the spring of 2007. It will feature the Prodigal Sunn collaboration song off thier Lp and both tracks produced by 4th Disicple.

In the fall of 2007 thier 4th CD and Second full length Lp titled ( TryinTimes ) is scheduled to be released. Also Third Kind presents (Seven) A baltimore super group created by Third Kind's producer RobbenBeatz. RobbenBeatz hand picked seven baltimore mc's . Dwell and Deph Cef of Third Kind, Minlus and McCracken, Regulus of Pro and Reg, Bex and Cyrus to form seven. In true Third Kind fashion all of Seven's production will be done by RobbenBeatz and Dichter2Productions aka SweatBox Productions . Along with their new lp Tryin Times and the Seven cd . Dwell's solo cd and a Fat Boi and RobbenBeatz cd titled ( Fat Man and Robben ) is in the works But they have no release dates for any of those projects besides their new lpTRYIN TIMES at this time....
