Tony Houston, a native of Dayton, Ohio, now lives in the Columbus area. Tony has played guitar for over 25 years and during that time played many styles of music but the blues was always in his soul. He received his nickname for his collection of hats.
From 1984 to 1990, Tony was a member of blues bassist Snapper Mitchum’s band, Snapper and The Blues Invaders. That band recorded the album "Born In The Ghetto" which reached #10 on the Living Blues magazine record chart. Those years playing with Snapper gave Tony the opportunity to have many guitar duels that included the late blues legend Lefty Dizz, Phil and Buddy Guy. It was playing with such great stars that honed his Chicago blues style of playing.
