Channeling such Southern rock giants as Skynyrd and the Allmans, the members of Georgia-based Tishamingo dish out thick bluesy guitar riffs, bourbon-breath vocals, and chunky beefsteak rhythms. Throw it on the next time you feel red-eyed and rowdy.
Originally from the swampy wetlands of North Florida, but now living in a farmhouse near Athens, Georgia, the members of Tishamingo play blues-based rock 'n' roll with soulful singing, honest lyrics, and two-guitar interplay reminiscent of the great Southern rock bands of the '70s. With songwriting influenced by the rock, blues, and soul music of the late 60s and early '70s, Tishamingo is a soulful delight. Playing close to 200 dates a year for the past three years, this hard-touring band has built a large and enthusiastic following throughout the South and Southeast.
