Finding their tracks in rotation from such megastar DJs as Goldie, Grooverider, Andy C, and Fabio, these production luminaries consistently crank out chaotic and extraterrestrial lines that weave their way through their surgically precise rhythmic patterns. Nominated as best Drum & Bass act at the Urban Music Awards 2005, Total Science enter 2006 ready to raise the benchmark of what both you, and their fans anticipate - the reaction to what?s coming is going to be big. Amongst their other plans for 2006 is a fourth album: ?Mars Needs Total Science? and is much more than a collection of songs ? it?s an inspirational project crafted over the past year in two studios: one in Oxford and one in Philadelphia.
Featuring artists: Grand Agent, Phonte, Patrice Williams, Darien Brockington, Lady Alma,Kaidi Tatham (from Bugs in the Attic), DJ Craze & MC Conrad, ?Mars Needs Total Science? showcases a selection of acclaimed artists from the Modern Soul, Breakbeat and Drum&Bass genres. This is Total Science in their true form, illustrating a different side to their musical personalities.
Already album sampler tracks: 'Never Had a Dream? and 'Squash' (Gridlok remix)are being played by 1Xtra?s Bailey, Radio 1?s Crissy Cris, DJ Hype, Pendulum, Hype, Andy C, Friction & Mampi Swift whilst Neo Soul track: 'Vibe' was not only showcased on Trevor Nelson's ?Soul Nation? show just recently but promoted by 1Xtra's Ronnie Harel last year. To add to this, the original of 'Sweet Music' was picked up and promoted by King Britt and the remix given prominence in Dego's (4Hero) sets . Moreover, ?Defcom VIP? (Defcom 69) is set to feature on the EA game: ?Fifa Streets 2? and this is just the reaction they have received from tracks given out! What?s more, album talks and release information is sending forums into frenzy ? this project is eagerly awaited.
