This Australian Renaissance vocal troupe is actually a quartet (one guesses "brio" just works better with "trio"), and it uses every one of those four voices in its crisp renditions. Focusing on early Classical church music, the group approaches those hymns with the precise phrasing and harmonic discipline they richly reward.
The group consists of trained vocalists, Bernadette Mether, Innngrid Johnstone, Carly Gauld and Peta Hill who perform individually and as a group. Con Brio is the offspring of the vocal quintet - The Bees Knees (2001 ? 2002) and was formed in late 2002, having previously provided entertainment at the Hastings Carols by Candlelight, St Vincent De Paul variety concerts and more recently, the Cancer Council?s Relay for Life to mention but a few. 2003 proved most successful with many professional and charity engagments around the peninsula. In late November their first CD "Lean on Me" was launched. Con Brio is available to sing at Wedding Ceremonies, Dinner Functions or anywhere where finer qualities are appreciated.
