Fool's gold is a recording with low fi sensibilities, in ease, and of production. Simply, we limited the process to four microphones and one of them buzzed so we had three. The sound is of hi fi quality and complexity. Our idea was to record ourselves in our own room and capture the sounds of the instruments in the shape and character of the room. All the songs but one are unstructured, but remain ideas. In the six songs there is noise, song and jam in chapters and in moments.
The record became about layers. The band would like to thank and credit John Watson, Fergus Mcalpin and Paul Martin for their enriching advice and intelligent support in helping produce this record.
