Biography

Via Maris is the music of Mike Bubeck. The music is very unique because of its passion, honesty, and beauty. You will hear one voice and one electric guitar. Having played guitar in several bands previously, Mike Bubeck always had the desire to perform as singer/songwriter. The first Via Maris show was on Valentine's Day, 2003. Since then, Via Maris has developed and continues writing songs and performing. The recent release of "Discovery", the 6-song EP by Via Maris, has already found itself playing non-stop in people's CD players. It is an accurate portrayal of what Via Maris sounds like. It has been praised by members of Modern Day John (rip) and Spur 58. Currently, live performances of Via Maris are solo-shows by Mike Bubeck with his electric guitar. However, a band is being put together which will allow an even more intense feel to the music. The goal of Via Maris is to expose the human heart's need for a growing relationship with its creator: Jesus Christ.
