Rostislaw Wygranienko (1978, Simferopol, Ukraine) is Polish concert organist.
In 1998-2003 he studied the concert organ with Professor Joachim Grubich in the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (MA diploma with "excellent" result).
He attended numerous lessons, courses and master-classes with Christopher Stembridge (with whom he studied the early music performance), Jon Laukvik, Johannes Geffert, Edgar Krapp, Bernhard Haas, Martin Haselboeck and Olivier Latry.
Rostislaw Wygranienko is specializing in Polish early and romantic music. In 2006 he has recorded CDs with complete organ works by Adam from Wagrowiec (d. 1629) and by Petrus de Drusina (d. 1611), as well as complete Warsaw Organ Tablature from 17th Century (all - Complete World Premiere Recording - was made for "Acte Prealable" Publishing House). He also has recorded a CD with Felix Nowowiejski's Fifth Symphony, Dumka etc.; made recordings of contemporary Polish music for "DUX Recording Producers", as well as recordings for the TV & Radio in Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine and for the Radio Vaticana. In 2004 he was a jury-member for the 19th "Organ Conversatorium" - Early Polish Music Competition in Legnica.
Another part of his interest is German and French Romanticism (he is a member of Ch.-V. Alkan Society), as well as Italian early and romantic music.
Rostislaw Wygranienko is a prizewinner of numerous international organ competitions, among which he received the 1st prizes in Rumia, Poland (2002), Saint-Maurice, Switzerland (2003); Poznan, Poland (2005, also "F. Nowowiejski's best interpretation" prize).
Rostislaw Wygranienko has large concert activity. Besides Poland, where he has played on festivals in every important place (more than 60 localities), he played in such countries, as Belgium (Brussels - the 27th International Organ Week), Germany (Hamburg - Hauptkirche St. Petri, Steinfeld - Salvatorian Abbey, Oldenburg - St. Lamberti, Goettingen - St. Jacobi, Hannover - St. Augustin, Bad Homburg, Itzehoe, Braunschweig etc.), Italy (Arezzo - Cathedral, Senigallia - Cathedral, Treviso - St. Giuseppe, Verona - SS. Nazzaro e Celso, Venezia - Jesuit church, Pescara, Valvasone etc.), Switzerland (St. Maurice - Abbey, St. Sigismond), Czech Republic (Prague - Academy of Music, Litomerice), Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. During all his concerts Mr. Wygranienko has executed more than 600 different organ pieces from his repertoire.
Rostislaw Wygranienko has published different musicological articles and papers upon history of music, keyboard instruments, as well as concerning problems of historical music interpretation.
Actually Rostislaw Wygranienko is PhD student in Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw.
