It's easy enough to see why Apple picked Naim's ditty "New Soul" for its MacBook Air campaign. The tune is just like the product: whimsical, and not likely to weigh you down. But don't confuse this with frivolity. The French-Israeli singer's new disc is full of smart and bittersweet ballads.
Biography
YAEL NAIM is a Singer-Songwriter and pianist. DAVID DONATIEN is a musician and percussion player. They met together to record, arrange, and produce Yael's songs. During 2 years in their own studio in Yael's appartment, they created an album with Hebrew and English songs. The songs mix folk and pop with delicate arrangements with a very intimate and personal sound.
